Dr. Zoltan Djelmis, DVM
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. Djelmis has had a love of animals and a soft spot for strays since childhood. “I always loved animals and I always wanted to be a vet—a dream I never gave up on,” he says.
Dr. Djelmis earned his veterinary degree in 1989 from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. After civil war brought him to America, he built a veterinary career defined by passion, perseverance, and nearly 35 years of hands-on experience. He has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry—areas in which he has invested significant time and resources in continuing education—and he brings that expertise to every patient he sees.
Dr. Djelmis has called Hilliard home since 1997 and took over Dr. George Kukor’s Hilliard Veterinary Hospital in June 2006, proudly carrying on the legacy of Hilliard’s oldest small animal practice. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in English, Hungarian, and Serbo-Croatian.
Dr. Grandominico, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Grandominico is a Central Ohio native with deep roots in the community she serves. She completed her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University before going on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph—one of the top-ranked veterinary schools in the world.
Dr. Grandominico greatly enjoys developing close, lasting relationships with her patients and their families, and her warmth and dedication are evident in every interaction. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, Pilates, and spending time with her two dogs, Greta and Hank.

Juli’s history with Hilliard Veterinary Hospital is a testament to the kind of place this is. Originally hired by Dr. George Kukor to work part-time in 1996, she continued with the practice when Dr. Djelmis took over in 2006—and she hasn’t looked back since. Juli appreciates the variety that each appointment brings and the fact that every patient is unique in their own way. She shares her home with a cat named Blue and a Chihuahua named Mia.

Daniel grew up right here in Hilliard, Ohio, attending Hilliard Darby High School before earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati. He has been working in the veterinary field for a year and brings enthusiasm and a genuine love for animals to every shift. At home, he has a chocolate Labrador named Indy. When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find him on the soccer field.

Shannon | Lead Client Services Representative
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Shannon joined the Hilliard Veterinary Hospital family in August 2022 and quickly became an essential part of our front-of-house experience. She brings over a decade of experience working with small animals and exotics to her role, having begun her career in the field in 2011. Before joining our team, Shannon served as a manager at a boarding and grooming facility and spent more than five years as a lead receptionist in veterinary care. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family—which includes four dogs and one cat.
